Introduction:
This is a translation patch for the game mentioned above. Apply to the rom using your IPS patcher of choice; it should work if your rom was originally named "Super SLG (Unl) [C]". After a bunch of horrible misadventures involving takedowns on Chinese rom sites, lots of youtube videos, clicking on foreign ads, and probably a few computer crashes, I managed to obtain the rom. Which was needless to say, entirely in Chinese. Which meant there was lots of me stumbling through the game blindly. At least there's a full playthrough on Youtube; go check it out if you're stuck. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4y9vIwFHQJowbbh25CfmvpTg6fAwfAmO
Anyway, after I slowly figured out what was what, I got out my trusty tile editor and slowly converted options to English as I figured them out. It helps when you've played nearly every game in the Fire Emblem series before that. (What am I even missing anyway, Birthright/Rev? I'll pass.) By the time I made it to the endgame, I had gotten a good amount of menus into English.

What's translated?:
Menu options: 90%. Shops seem to work differently.
Stat screen: 100%.
Unit names: Players are 100%. Bosses are 30%. Generics are somewhere.
Class names: 100%.
Item names: Let's say 70%. Untranslated items have an icon added to them designating what type of weapon they are. Translated weapons still have them anyway. (And plain Fire is a tome.)
Skill names: 90%. I couldn't figure the effects of some skills, since I didn't train up every unit.
Story: 0%. All that's there is the "Chapter X" at the start of the chapter. And one line of opening crawl is replaced with Testing because it's graphics.

What's not translated?:
The story. All of it. This is a menu patch and nothing more. Doesn't help I can't understand any Chinese at all and all item names are based off actual Fire Emblem items with similar effects.
The shop menus, since the Buy/Sell prompts seem to be actual text. Left tends to be Yes for those things.
Parts of the chapter data menu, since I didn't know what they meant. Chapter goal or something? I don't know, so the Chinese remains. [s]At least I moved the colon. [/s]
Although the inbattle save/load prompt is translated, it's very messy. Tilemaps are annoying.

Legalese:
This patch was made by Darrman. This bootleg was originally published by Skob, but Fire Emblem is copyright Nintendo/Intelligent Systems. This patch can be modified as one wishes to enhance the quality of it. If you wish to change names, go nuts, but let me know so I can have a laugh. I'd appreicate being credited if anything more comes from this.
